Junior Golf Hub Launches Enhanced Mobile App For College Golf Hopefuls And Coaches

Junior Golf Hub Mobile App

RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut — Junior Golf Hub (JGH) – the leading online community for junior golfers, their parents and college coaches – announces the launch of the latest version of its mobile app, which helps parents and players track growth and development as they move through their junior golf journey, while also providing tools and education for those on the road to college golf.

“The fragmented college golf recruiting process has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, for golfers, parents and collegiate coaches alike,” says Roger Knick, founder of the Junior Golf Hub. “The new and improved app is today’s solution to connect athletes and coaches and is also an invaluable resource for parents and players looking to navigate a confusing process.”

To date, nearly 10,000 athletes have created a profile, while more than 1,000 members of JGH have gone on to play golf at an NCAA DI, DII, DIII or NAIA school. The current collegiate database consists of 2,300 men’s and women’s golf programs.

For Players and Parents

JGH starts with a LinkedIn-style profile for both athletes and college programs. Golfers can tailor their searchable profiles to include athletic measurables such as verified tournament scores, swing speed, tournament schedules and academic information such as GPA, test scores and academic honors. For those still seeking their perfect fit, JGH has a “Find a College” function with filters that narrow down results based on the program’s scoring average, acceptable test scores, tuition, majors offered, size of enrollment and more. College golf hopefuls will receive push notifications when a collegiate program starts following them on the app.

JGH also offers a vast library of resources designed as a step-by-step guide to the college golf recruiting process through its blog, HitTheLinks, and the Essential Guide. The Essential Guide covers key milestones and topics, including communication with coaches, scholarship breakdown, research tips, a rules and regulations guide and more.

For College Golf Coaches

Coaches can utilize the platform to find prospects and keep track of performance throughout a golfer’s season. In the age of COVID-19, the app provides an outlet for coaches who’s travel might be limited to view a player’s profile containing verified stats, videos, swing data, performance goals and more. Using robust filters, coaches can search based on academic success, geographic location, scoring average, rankings and more. Coaches also receive push notifications if there is a change to the profile of player they are following. The new app also gives college coaches the opportunity to market their programs to their target audience.

JGH is helping to grow junior golf by partnering with leading junior tournaments, including the AJGA, HJGT, Peggy Kirk Bell Junior Golf Tour and over 25 PGA Sections. As presenting sponsor of all regional qualifying events for the Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship, JGH will provide every participant with valuable benefits available exclusively to Premium members.
